About Palettes

A set of palettes is provided in order to modify various parameters for drawing objects. By default, the palettes appear stacked together in groups. The positions of all open palettes and moveable dialog boxes are saved when the user exits from the application.

A palette contains the usual control types (as used in any dialog box), such as command buttons, options, and list boxes. However, unlike most dialog boxes, you can keep palette windows open while working on a document. You are allowed to access the operations used most frequently or to experiment with different effects.

Palette windows can be docked to any edge of the application window, or you can choose to undock them. Furthermore, you can minimize palette windows so that they do not occupy valuable screen space. When you choose a palette from the View-->Palettes--><Palette name> submenu, the Editor looks for a window, where this palette is located. If this window is not visible, the editor opens it. The specified palette stays active.

Palettes are located on the following windows:

-- Format Window: Filling, Outline, Shadow.

--Text Window: Text Style, Text Effects.

-- Properties Window: General, Properties.

-- Layers Window: Layers, Image Library.
